CHANGE OF OWNERSHIP APPLICATION PROCESS AT COJ
- All change of ownership applications must be done in writing
- A service ticket must be logged and a reference number issued for all change of ownership queries
- A service ticket can be logged with the Johburg’s call centre : 0860 56 28 74 or at any of their walk-in centres
The following documents are required:
- ID Copies
- Copy of Sale Agreement or Occupational Agreement
- A letter from the transferring attorneys confirming date of registration
- Cheque or cash (calculated at the time) for payment of deposits
- Existing Accounts Numbers for rates, water and electricity
Please note that when COJ and / or Eskom do the change of ownership and send you your first invoice they will charge you from date of registration.
Please remember to take water and electricity meter readings on date of occupation and / or date of registration.
